The following operating systems are supported by this driver so download the appropriate driver for your hardware and operating system. The files are large but should not take less than 3 minutes to download on a DSL connection.

You can download the USB 2.0 to 10/100m ethernet adapter driver below. This is a Windows 10 driver which comes in both the 32bit version for some reason as well as the 64bit version for Windows 10. Note that these are the older drivers from when Windows 10 hit the market and this is the 2016 driver with version 10.9.0504.2016. This is in realty a Realtek USB FE/GbE NIC Family Windows 10 64-bit driver.

Lets not forget the TP-LINK Gigabit Ethernet USB Adapter, as well as the USB 3.0 to Gigabit Adapter which is generic and finally the LG USB GbE Ethernet Adapter. You will notice that most of this hardware is very old. You will today mainly find them on the secondhand market. This driver was designed for them. If you want a more updated combination of all the operating system, then the last file in a very large file. That download is right at the bottom of the page.

To install this file which is a smaller 12MB file you will need to download this file and extract it on your computer. Once you have done this, simply go into the directory and then click on the install button. Your hardware will then be recognised and the driver installed for the hardware.

This is the USB lan driver for Windows 7. This is a 8mb file which as you will note is the older driver from 2016. The device uses the RTL8152B driver which this is. This is from the Realtek USB FE/GbE NIC Family Windows 7 64bit devices which has been used in many devices. You can download the file below which is a Windows 7 driver. Download the file and extract the files. Inside the directory click on the setup file and the USB 2 10/100m ethernet adaptor driver for Windows 7 will install.

This is the Windows XP driver for the RTL8152BX or USB 2.0 10.100m ethernet adapter. Download the file and then extract the file. Go into the directory and click on the setup file. The driver will then install on your Windows XP system. This is also the same as the Glink USB 2.0 ethernet adapter driver. Search this website for more information on older hardware as this is a few years old. For Windows XP it is very difficult to get drivers. This even though there are still millions of computers running Windows XP.

Once you have downloaded your new driver, you'll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

Update: A Windows 10 driver now exists for the USB2-E1000. However, it will not appear in the CD that comes with the adapter until the next lot of adapters is shipped. The updated driver can be downloaded from this link: Windows 10/8/8.1, 7, Vista, and XP drivers for USB2-E1000.

*Note In 2017, our USB3-HUB3ME was redesigned to include a Realtek RTL8153 chipset and drivers. Windows 10 should automatically configure these drivers when you plug the adapter in.) When you insert these adapters into a USB port, the drivers should automatically install with no need for an internet connection.

Awesome!! One of the only serial to USB adapters out there with status lights. Makes it very easy to trouble and diagnose serial data issues and pin configurations. Also works out-of-the-box on Win 7 x64 with no need to install additional drivers. Thanks for the great product!!

My computer uses the 64-bit version of Windows 7. When I plugged the adapter in, the OS recognized it and downloaded the drivers via Windows update. It defaulted to COM7, so I changed it to COM1 and connected it to the PLC. I auto-configured a DF1 channel in RSLinx Classic and immediately discovered it using RSWho.

After having struggled with corrupt data on my PL2303-based adapter every few minutes, I was suspecting problems with the target device, especially when the problem persisted after swapping adapters, reloading drivers, and trying a different PC.

It works where others failI used this to connect my laptop to stepper motor drivers which require serial input to change settings. Two other adapters failed and this one worked straight away with no tweaking.

Worked perfectlyWindows 10 on my laptop: immediately identified device as a COM port with no additional drivers required. Immediately connected to my Parker SSD motor drive using their DSE Lite tool, no issues what so ever. This is the FTDI USB-RS232 adapter you need!

This Adapter Works While Others Did NotAfter trying unsuccessfully for hours to get a different RS232-to-USB adapter to work, I was able to install the Gearmo adapter and get it running in perhaps 10 minutes. It also came with its own driver DVD which was appreciated after so much trouble with the other adapter, wondering if indeed I had found the best driver.

Third-party Ethernet adapters are also supported for network deployment, although they don't support PXE boot. To use a third-party Ethernet adapter, you must load the drivers into the deployment boot image, and you must launch that boot image from a separate storage device, such as a USB stick.

Product Pages: -2-0-to-rs232-serial-cables-adapter -2-0-usb-c-to-rs232-serial-cablesOur Part Numbers: USB2-VE487-TG, USB2-RS232WN-xx, USB2-RS232TS-xx, USBC-RS232NUT-xx, and USBC-RS232SCW-xx all use FTDI chip. You can download the latest drivers from FTDI website below.

Do you know how to configure the ethernet adapter in Openelec (Kodi)? Because there is not /etc/network/interfaces file anymore so I don't know where to add the new interface. I've been searching what is the new file to configure ethernet interfaces but i couldn't find anything..

Thanks for the article, it's great! Was really convinced so I went out and bought a pi after reading it.I've been trying to mimic your setup though I can't seem to break 16MB/s so I wanted to ask if you had to install any drivers for the USB Gigabit adapter or was it just plug and play? Because I did the latter and it seems to work perfectly (aside from the fact that it's only running on 16MB/s lol).

I purchased a raspberry pi 3 model b and the same trendnet usb3 gigabit adapter you mentioned in your post and installed the latest version of raspbian. when measuring the speed with the well known site speedtest by ookla the download speed is not exceeding 6 Mb/s. My ISP offers me 300 Mb/s and doing the same measure with my laptop with the same Trendnet adapter I get around 280 Mb/s. The only thing connected to my Pi is this Usb3 adapter nothing else, no keybord, no mouse... So where is the problem? How you managed to obtain that speed?

Jeff - I got a question. I have installed a usb ethernet adapter and when i download from the Raspberrypi2 connected usb disk i get speeds around 15MB/s wich I guess is 150Mbps. But i assume this is the limit of the shared usb controller...Or should I see speeds faster than this? When i download from the microsd card i get slightly higher speeds (18-20MB/s)

A driver updater can still work even if you don't have internet. Look through the list linked above for one that works offline, and then follow that app's directions. It'll involve identifying what driver you need, downloading the driver from a working computer, and then copying it to Windows 11 to install it.

Reinstall the network driver automatically from Device Manager > Network Adapters. Right-click the adapter > choose Uninstall > reboot your computer. If you're having trouble with a driver update, you can also roll back a driver and reinstall a previous version by right-clicking the driver and selecting Properties > Roll Back Driver. 2ff7e9595c
